The Emperor of China, and how he rewarded the inventor of chess, is the earliest example of the law of accelerating returns, and yet it has been happening all around us since well before then.

In his 2001 paper, Raymond Kurzweil observed that “…the emergence of the first technology creating species resulted in the new evolutionary process of technology. Therefore, technological evolution is an outgrowth of–and a continuation of–biological evolution.”

the whitepaper went on to explain The Law of Accelerating Returns, which explains such phenomenon as Moore’s Law and sheds the spotlight on why technology is moving at such a rapid pace.

So if you are thinking of running a business online, or already have one, Kurzweil is good reading. And so indeed is the option of Internet Marketing video training.

Lastly you can place a bio box with your URL in it to direct customers to your site after submitting the articles to article directories.

Traffic is essential to having success with Marketing. It can be difficult having your own business at home, but using a few of these marketing techniques can make life much easier for you.

First this is the best work yet by Alex Jeffrey’s. Within this report lies the very ‘truth’ about how money is being made on the Internet. It explores everything we have been “sold” about making money on the Internet.

Some of the key points that stuck out for me in this 84 page report are:

“It’s vitally important that you impose some strict dicipline on yourself when your start building your business”.

“Provide value to the end user - i.e. your customer, they will want to pay you”.

“Making money online is a lot like chasing a butterfly. The harder you go after it the more it eludes you. But if you adjust to how the butterfly enjoys an environment it will fall straight into your hands. What I really said there is don’t chase money let money chase you”.

The H1 tag is intended to provide the largest, overall heading on a page and should introduce the rest of the web content that flows throughout the page. Keywords included in this tag are given extra “weight” by the search engines and this is also true of the H2 tags, which should be used to highlight subtopics.

There are many other elements of search engine optimization that come to bear on a website and much more can be learned by seeking out the vast number of SEO and webmaster resources that are available online. The foundation of all good optimization starts with good keyword research and a clear understanding of the type of visitors the webmaster is trying to attract and what keyword phrases they search for.

Grasping the concept of SEO techniques is as important to the earnings potential of a website as having a good internet marketing strategy.

So you work a regular job, but when the money runs out each month there are still bills to pay, and you think affiliate marketing commissions probably won’t amount to enough to make the work worth your while. This might be true, right in the beginning.

But like any new venture, sometimes things start slowly and then pick up speed when you have a little experience and confidence with what you’re doing.

The beauty of earning affiliate marketing commissions is that you don’t have to change careers to do it. You can keep that 40- or 60-hour a week job, so there’s no risk to you if it doesn’t work out (though there’s no reason that it shouldn’t).

You must, however, do your research to find out what these people are actually searching for. You can become a success story if you follow the blueprint for success in affiliate marketing. Creating your product is another option, but if you are just starting out online, this should not be your first choice.

You can start by creating a blog and writing articles or post to your blogs and inserting anchor text that highlight the affiliate product that you are promoting.

2. Money Making Forums

Hang out in money making forums to see what others are talking about. Get involved in the discussion if you can contribute something of value, but more importantly, see what you can learn from those who are experienced.

Ask questions in these forums. It will help you to learn even more and put you on the map of the forum platform so that people will know who you are. If you are permitted to write articles, do some research and post valuable articles to this forum.

Make sure you have a good signature file that will appear each time you make a post. You want to use your affiliate link so that each time you post, others will see what you are promoting and possible click on your link. This is another ideal way of advertising your affiliate product.

3. Offering your services

You can offer your service as a freelancer. If you are good at writing, graphic design, computer programming or web design, you can offer these services to people who are looking to outsource their heavy work load. You can hang out in freelance websites such as elance and getafreelancer as well as other freelance websites that you can search for online.

This can be a lucrative way to make money online and still be able to feed your family. You may come across competition, but what you can do is to create a portfolio of samples that you will provide to the client that sets you apart from anyone else.

4. Run a web hosting site

Web hosting is something that is always going to be needed as long as people are doing business online. You can either be a web host reseller or own your own web host server. I would opt for the web host reseller.

This means that you can sell web hosting to people who need it and make this a profitable business. Most people who own web host servers don’t have time to get their own clients so they create affiliate programs for people like you.

You don’t have to carry any inventory because this product is intangible. All you have to do is to promote the service. It is quite a good way to make an income online.

5. Sell Ad Space

You can own your very own wordpress blog or domain and sell ad space on it. People always need to advertise and if you can get people to advertise on your blog or domain, you can make monthly residual income.

This can be even more effective if you own a website that has high page rank. Once you establish a website with PR 1 or higher, people will want to put their links on your website because that means that you are getting some type of traffic, but it has to be targeted traffic.
